Keep it Simple!
When it comes to spirituality.... people tell me:
1st, they do not know what spirituality is or
2nd, they do not have time for anything else in their busy lives.
My intention is to provide simple, concise ways to have an understanding of what spirituality means to me, as well as ways to easily use it in your own life. If something resonates with you, try it!
This blog will provide some very simple examples of things you can do today... right NOW!
Merry Christmas Penelope.. at the end of the movie when he walks through the door to see the grumpy old men it really brings awareness for me to how thoughts on a situation or in general are a real gamechanger or not on our experience of it.
How much jimmy stewart or anyone would have dredded upon arrival at their house seeing the grumpy men who couldnt wait to deliver the bad news; even without the "dream" and clarence experience; but he was able to be happy and joyful through having a robust appreciation and gratitude just by altering his thoughts and pereception.
Thanks for hitting home this awareness and insight. It would be intersting to know why "we" cam't always stay in the state all the time; and what the impercetable shifts are that become the impediments to joy; and what ongoing actions or steps are needed to stay joyful and circumvent the negative, monkey mind. Thanks!! Wishing you a joyful, warm and wonderful Holiday!
Anon - Thank you for your insightful comment. Yes, as you pointed out, our experience of any situation is based on what our "monkey mind" is telling us at that moment. What if we Simply didn't listen to it? Happy Holidays! Penelope PS - I'm not telling Clarence you think he was part of a dream! ;)

I still need to see this film classic. (It is a big hole in my awareness of pop culture...) :)

Kent,
I hope I didn't spoil the ending for you! That being said, I watch it again every year and every year it touches me in the same way.
